From Tokyo to a chair of her own.
Emiko's career began in Japan, where she trained and rose to managing a salon in Tokyo. She brought that experience to Hawaii, working in Waikiki before opening Salon Emiko, her own business, in 2002.
What she loves most is the transformation — watching a client light up in her chair. She believes confidence and beauty matter for everybody, and after more than four decades she has the cutting skill and range to deliver the look you have in mind.
She also specializes in bridal hair and makeup and is a certified Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) artist, the careful technique that restores the look of fuller hair.

Precision cutting shaped to how your hair grows and falls. Every cut includes a consultation, shampoo and hair mask, blow dry, and finish styling.
